Melani's Medical Bill Campaign Last March I had emergency brain surgery, but because I had the Pituitary Tumor when I was married in July 2009, I could not get insurance coverage. All in all, my medical bills have added up to almost $80,000.00. As a student going to school for Elementary and Special Education, we cannot afford the bills, especially since my husband Ryan was the only one able to work while I was in recovery. Sanford Hospital wrote off a huge chunk of the bills but with continued check-ups and MRIs the bill is still getting larger. Any amount would help! Thank you!
